In-game description of Mood metabolic

In Glitch, Mood, one of the four character Metabolics, is a measure of your happiness (designated by the color-changing smiley face in the top left hand corner of the game screen). Many tasks, such as petting trees, will cost energy but increase your mood. If you drop below a certain level of mood, you will gain less imagination for actions with an imagination reward. You will also burn more energy when doing tasks.

Mood is replenished completely at the beginning of each game day, and can be replenished incrementally by consuming drinks, caressing emblems, or through meditation.

Mood and iMG

Whenever you gain imagination, other than through badges and quest completion, the amount of imagination gained is modified by your current mood. Each action, quoin or other source of imagination has a base value, the final amount of imagination gained is the based value times a modifier determined by your current mood as a percentage of your total mood. You can quickly determine how much imagination you will get for actions by looking at the happy or sad face icon that indicates your mood.
